Declaration Celebration documents

What a great way to start off the 4th of July week with a reading of the

Declaration of Independence!

Below are links to what we use to plan, advertise, and execute the celebration.  They are PDF's but I will be glad to send you excel and word documents.

We always have over 100 people.  Some have attended everyone and new people every year.    The program is about 45 minutes depending on the speeches.   Some years we have not had any speeches, just singing and reading.  Not a time goes by that we don't have the first time readers thank us for allowing them to read.   We have people that ask to read again.   We try to vary our readers and choose similar occupations to the original signers.

We use the steps of the library because it is a natural setting and the steps let everyone see and hear the readers.

We will be happy to help you to hold this reading.  Contact trudy@wapellocountygop.com for more info and questions.

The Declaration of Independence text has grey marks to note where we separate the reading.   We normally have the same person read the beginning and end parts.
